Traveling with a friend at the end of May, young and new to Paris,we’d like our own rooms but prices are so high. Any tips greatly appreciated.
My niece always stays at this location. She loves the privacy, the price and the location.

Look at the Single Deluxe room rates, about $100 euros a night.
I don't know that hotel recommended, but I really like that area of Paris
What is your budget in € for how many nights? Do you have a preferred area of Paris?
I stayed at Hotel Clement in the 6th arr, St Germaine, the first week of September. Decent mid-range budget hotel, close to tourist sights, bus and subway.
Hotel Jeanne d'Arc in Le Marais has these adorable little rooms that they call cosy rooms that are for one person. In real estate cosy means small and these rooms are that.
My son stayed a night at https://www.arty-paris.fr/ a few years ago and liked it.
Try Hotel Yllen Eiffel. Right next to a metro station, amazing breakfast, and great single rooms.
You can use booking.com to sort for twin beds, 1 person, etc.
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Marignan on Rue du Sommerard (NOT the one on Champs Elysees), although there's no elevator!
