Silly Question re: Paris Museum Pass

I know tired about another question about Paris Museum Pass. We are going to Paris in a few weeks and plan to get the pass. My grandson is 17 and will be going with us. I note that most museums are free to students his age. The silly question is "will he stay in line with us as we have the museum pass or some other line? Seems silly right? We plan on doing the Louvre, Orsay, Art et Metiers etc. and don't want to be separated. (Course this is the second week with him...he may want to be losing us real fast). Please advise if you know the answer. Thanks

He will just walk in with you. Because he is 17, he should be carrying identification to prove age in case he is asked. I'd probably carry a DL and a copy of the passport or if he has a passport card carry that. The passport is the gold standard for ID but losing it is a real bummer on a short trip so we choose to secure it in hotel safe or apartment and carry other ID.

There are a couple of places that require separate tickets but they are not places with big lines: Invalides and Arc du Triomphe

janet, are you sure that someone who has to show his passport and have it inspected can enter through the skip-the-line Paris Museum Pass entry? That would slow down the process.

Edit: Thank you Jane. When I wrote skip-the-line I was referring to the different arrival experience of those with Passes and those who need to purchase tickets with real money. In my many (past, not 2017) visits, there was a big difference in line length. I was not talking about some VIP-extra-cost product for Imperialists.
