Sights and Dining ideas for the 14th Arrondissement

Hi at the end of an upcoming trip I have a night in Paris in the 14th, near the Port De Orleans metro stop. We dont get in til 7:30 pm to Gare De Nord, i'm trying to find a late meal/drink in the 14th and then maybe a suggestion arount the 14th for a prix fixe lunch special somewhere. I have been to the catacombs, but am also curious about any other interesting things to see.

I enjoyed a brief 2-night stay nearer Gare Montparnasse/Metro Gaîté late May 2018 and can recommend visiting lovely Montparnasse Cemetery, 3 Boulevard Edgar Quinet and if timing allows, taking in the Marché aux Puces de Vanves (Sa-Su 7a-1p). That was a lot of fun sifting through other people's treasures/castoffs. We were near Rue Daguerre, a very fine Parisian market street, and enjoyed a delicious meal at La Cantine du Troquet (no rez, late night dining bistro).

The great Paris Bistros are in the 14th e.g. Dome, Coupole etc. Rue Montparnesse is noted for its crepe restaurants; we have dined well on lovely savory and sweet crepes at Joselin on that street. The Montparnasse Cemetery has my favorite tomb -- that of the man who perfected the gas lamp -- it is the smaller section of the cemetery separated by a road from the larger part. Sartre and Beauvoir are buried there as is Dreyfus.

A couple of things. La Coupole is interesting for its interior, but the food has gone downhill over the years. So go there for a drink. I also second the crepe restaurants near Gare de Montparnasse, if you want a relatively cheap and tasty meal. There are also a number of Vietnamese restaurants, near Metro Denfert Roucherau, if I recall. Not expensive but good. I second the cemetery recommendation. Also, Jardin de Luxembourg is not far away.
