I'm taking the My Way Alpine Tour this year - any recommendations for a shuttle service from Chamonix to the Geneva Airport? I can see there are a couple options but just looking for any feedback. Thanks!
There are trains, regularly scheduled buses, and shuttles.
The trains are scenic but there are 1 or 2 connections enroute which
require you to schlep bags from one train to another.
The buses are fast, comfortable, and cheap, but drop you off at the Chamonix
Sud bus depot from which you have to make your way to your accommodation.
Depending on how far away that is, this could be a decent option. Flixbus,
Blablabus, and Swisstours are options. See Geneva Airport website for more
info.
There are many local shuttle companies. I suggest using Findtransfers.com
to input your requirements. Companies will respond with bids and you can see
their ratings/reviews.
Unless you have enough people (8) to occupy a full van, you will most likely
pay the price of a full van (~300 EUR) for a private one-way trip. Make sure you
request a shared shuttle.
Thanks for the information - this has been very helpful!
We used Chamonix Valley Transfers in Dec 2021. There were four of us with luggage and it was well worth it. Communication was good, the driver was on time and friendly, and we had a nice conversation with him on the way to Geneva.
Thanks for the recommendation - I'll check out their web site
We used Mountain Dropoffs when we took this tour in 2022. They were fine.
