We (2 adults) would be travelling to Paris in first week of September. We would like to see a show/concert. Never been to any concert here in US but it has been on list.
Looking for any recommendation for same.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

What kind of show or concert? Rap? Jazz? Rock? Traditional French music? Classical? A big arena type concert or something in a smaller venue? There are so many shows in Paris that I need a little guidance but throwing out something that I think is great: https://jazzalavillette.com/fr/
Yeah you have to narrow it down. Tell us what kind of show concert that you may have heard about in
San Francisco for example; something similar is probably happening in Paris
The Classical music season doesn't really get underway until mid or late September depending on venue and organization.
This venue gets healthy crowds. The schedule is pretty lean now for early September but this might change.

In June we saw Elton John in the roman arena in Nimes. It was awesome. Try going on Pollstars website. You can enter dates and location. It doesn't give all concerts but you may see something that will interest you. Going to shows in Europe is fun. We always look for a concert wherever we travel.
On our last trip we saw an Opera at the Bastille, went to the Brittain War Requieum at the Philharmonie, went to a Jazz concert in St. Germain du Pres and went to the musical Guys and Dolls at the Marigny Theater. There are all sorts of musical events going on constantly in Paris -- including visiting shows. The serious music season e.g. Opera and classical music tends to be in fall/winter/spring but there are always things going. If you have any interest in Classical music I would book something at the Philarmonie; the building is worth the trip even without a concert. Right now they also have an exhibit in their lower level of the history of Electro Music -- you get earphone and a jack which you can plug into the exhibit spaces to hear and see key performance in electronic music history. Really good exhibit.
There are also lots of free concerts often of visiting groups using the concert as an excuse to travel; these often perform for free at the Madeleine and there are performances in many churches around the city.
If you will be there on a Sunday, go to mass at St. Sulpice - the organ is fantastic and the organist always does a 20 minute concert to show off the capabilities of the instrument at the end of the service. Not exactly what you asked for but it's a wonderful experience!
Walking around the city you'll see posters for classical concerts occurring in many beautiful venues.
You can see performances in St. Chapelle, one of the most beautiful spaces in Paris.
There is also the Opera Garnier - the season opens on September 9th this year. Dress up and have a fabulous experience!
