Should I modify our Bayeux-Paris Nomad tickets?

We have reserved seats for Friday, Oct 11 for Nomad Train 3312 from Bayeux to Paris (dep. 13:43). We will be dropping off our rental car in Caen that morning. We would prefer to board the train in Caen. Can we do that without changing our tickets? Or is there an easy way to double back to Bayeux and start the trip as originally planned? I am not sure how persnickety French ticket inspectors are..and whether there would be a likelihood of someone grabbing our seats in Bayeux.

Download the SNCF app. It's very user friendly and change your tickets. (You could change them online, but still download the app as the tickets will then be on your app.)

I wouldn't double back to Bayeux after dropping off the car in Caen. I can't speak for what the situation/policy would be for not boarding in Bayeux but instead Caen without making changes, would it cancel the tickets? Hopefully someone can address that.

There are no platform gates in Caen so you will not have any problem.

It's no problem for you to join the train in Caen instead of Bayeux.
