Shipping and Storing luggage

Hello, we are travelling to Europe this summer and wanted to know if it is possible to ship a piece of luggage from Paris-Nord station to Gatwick Airport and have it stored there for a week. We will pick it up when flying back home. We will be travelling to Switzerland and prefer to reduce our luggage after the first week of travel through London and Paris.

There's probably a way but it is likely to cost the earth. Is cost a concern? Eurostar doesn't take unaccompanied luggage. It is probably cheaper to take it to Gatwick yourself by making a day trip Paris Gare du Nord-St Pancras-Gatwick-St Pancras-Gare du Nord and leaving it some where in or near Gatwick.

If you are going to Paris from London first - if I read your question correctly - why don't you just leave it in London or Gatwick before you travel on to Paris?

The baggage storage in Gatwick has a complete section on the Gatwick airport website. The company they use is called Excess Baggage.
They will not accept luggage from a 3rd party. You have to deposit it in person. I think this is common due to security concerns.

The alternate is to ship un-needed luggage home directly. Still quite expensive, but you could use the local post office and a flexible luggage (not hard sided) that will fit into a box. The more it weighs, the more expensive it will be for you.

If you go that route, you might want to ship to a friend or family member in case it arrives home before you do.

Packing lightly is our key to comfortable travels. How many special supplies do you need for a week in London and Paris? Or is it shopping you plan to acquire there?

If you bring your luggage with you as far as Switzerland, then Swiss rail has options to transfer and hold it at your last Swiss destination: https://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/services/luggage.html.
