September Trip to France

We have a trip planned that includes Tours, Bordeaux, Carcassone, Avignon and Nice, and I would like to hear from anyone currently in or recently returned from the the area about the weather and climate conditions. I've just been seeing some really disturbing news reports can't help but wonder how bad it really is. Thanks for any feed back.

you just have to have a subscription to the WSJ to see how bad things are, they are very interested in it. or use the google, do you not believe the stories there?

What do you mean by "bad"? There is a major drought in 90% of France, and a major forest fire south of Bordeaux. But travel is not currently affected, and the weather is turning to rain across a lot of the country this week anyway. It won't reverse the drought, but it will probably put an end to some local water shortages.
