September 18 transit strike in France

If anyone has some update to the proposed national transit strike September 18, please post it here. We will be taking a train from Leon to Geneva on the 19th and want to stay updated on potential impact.

Air traffic controllers have delayed their strike till early October (maybe just in time for our flight home)

I am not finding news that the ground transit strikes have been delayed. Usually these strikes don't complete shut things down, but there will be fewer trains and a real mess if you are traveling by train. We had planned some day tripping on the 18th and have delayed it to the 19th.

Official strike announcements are made about two days in advance so you will have a heads up if your travel is going to be delayed; they announce specific trains etc.

Firstly, the 19th is not the 18th, the date strike action has been declared as possible.

Secondly, nothing, outside of a complete cancellation, will be further announced until the 16th or 17th. If there is a strike, only certain trains will be affected, not all.

There will be NO impact on the 19th. One-day strike actions by some sectors of the economy will take place on the 18th.
However, a train can be cancelled at any time for various reasons. Last week, my 2:40 pm TER local train was cancelled three hours before we were to board. So we used our TER tickets for the next train on the route because they are good on any train on the same route on the same day. You are taking a TER, local train, which means that your ticket is good on any SNCF TER on the Lyon to Geneva route on the 19th no matter what happens.
