Our family of four will be traveling to Paris for the first time in June. We'd like to take a cruise (not with dinner) along the Seine on our first evening in the city. Which company would folks recommend? I keep reading such mixed reviews of Bateaux Mouches, Bateaux Parisiens, Vedettes du Pont Neuf, Vedettes du Paris. While I'd love a private cruise - it's not in the budget. Looking for a provider that does a nice job, preferably without chaos! Thank you in advance for your recommendations!

It doesn't matter. Pick the one most convenient; they are all cheap; they all run the same route. WE like Vedettes Pont Neuf and they have a live announcer rather than a recording and double decker smaller boats -- but if another one is more convenient in time or location, it will be much the same. VPN doesn't sail as often as Bateau Parisien and Bateau Mouche. And you don't have to book ahead.
