Seine River Cruise - Recommendations Please

Hello! We are traveling to Paris with another couple in September (We are all over 55). We would like to take a Seine River cruise. I would like recommendation on day cruise vs night cruise, with dinner or without? I am wondering if dinner at a good place in the city after a cruise would be best or do these cruises have good food? I thought evening with the city lights might be nice, but, am open to day cruise if the sights are better?

Thank you!

they are all the same; do the one most convenient for you. There is a slight preference here for Vedettes Pont Neuf which has live commentary but again -- they are much of a muchness. You can bring your own Champagne or whatever.

For dinner cruises -- the only ones worth doing for food are the expensive ones like Califfe and DuCasse. The regular cruises with dinner -- best to cruise then dine at a decent place on shore.

Both day and night have their fans. I prefer night cruises but my grandchild was delighted with our day cruise.

I agree with Janet. Have dinner before or after your cruise. And get in line early enough to get a seat on the top for the best views. Take a jacket or sweater if the weather calls for it. We have always been happy with Vedettes de Pont Neuf for the live commentary. Have fun!
