Seine River cruise ideas?

What is the best company to make reservations for a dinner cruise. Any ideas on how to make reservations on a Seine River cruise?

Bateaux-Mouches and Marina de Paris are two companies offering dinner cruises, and you can reserve on those websites. There may be others. I haven't taken one, because I want to focus on the river and monuments instead of my meal. Many people have found the dinner (and lunch) cruises overpriced for mediocre food, others love them. Maybe Trip Advisor could help you with reviews.

My own suggestion would be to take a cruise without the meal -- daytime or night or both -- and eat better and/or less expensively on shore. Two companies offering non-meal cruises are Bateaux-Mouches (leaving from near the Eiffel Tower) and Vedettes du Pont-Neuf (leaving from the west end of the Ile de la Cite). I've only been with the Vedettes, which I can recommend, but the other is probably just as good, so base your choice on where you want to get on and off the boat. I don't think you ever need reservations for one of these non-meal cruises, though maybe in the height of summer you would -- check the websites.

Hope this helps.

Calife dinner cruises are well reviewed, and unlike other dinner cruises that ship meals onboard and reheat, they actually cook onboard , a friend did it last year and she liked it very much, its on my list too, like the smaller boat, looks like it has character!

Vedettes du Pont Neuf are open-air boats. The Bateaux Mouches are covered.

dont do bateaux parisiens! I booked the premium dinner cruise for July 14th so we could see the fireworks from the river. Paid almost 500 Euros months in advance. Once we docked, you could not see the Eiffel Tower from the boat because there dock blocked the view. it has a glass dome around the seating area so people went outside to the small deck, it was super crowded and where I could fit, once again, could not see the Eiffel Tower. Asked to be let off the boat and they refused even though they were docked. Went back inside the boat, and went to the front where everyone was crowded in the front in the small area not being blocked by their dock. I had to get on the ground like a dog to see the Eiffel Tower and could barely see it. It was a night mare.

I took video and pictures of my self and other passengers on the floor trying desperately to see the fireworks. I plan to share them with the management and let them explain to me how they can sell a boat dinner with views of the fireworks.

We took a dinner cruise and were so glad we did because we got to see the Eiffel Tower with twinkling lights. It was a small cruise where you could pay extra for champagne or wine. We opted for neither. They charged us five euros for a bottle of water. Total ripoff. Got some pretty professional pictures so I would expect that is the norm. But I wouldn't recommend this company, City Tours, just for the water reason. Yeah, maybe it's petty but that's who I am today. :)
