I am planning to buy air tickets/car rental package through Expedia. The car I selected is a Ford and the company is Enterprise. I will be flying to and using the car in southern France. Is there an additional fee for someone over 70 and what security deposit will be required?

Have you tried asking Enterprise? They would be most likely to have current information, and could address your specific questions and needs.

Most all rental companies have gotten rid of their senior citizen deposit schemes.

But there IS a security deposit -- Enterprise reversed it back to my card almost immediately after the car was turned in.
