Hello, we will be driving from Colmar to Chamonix later this month. We can take the full day in travel. I'd like to take a scenic route with maybe a few nice stops along the way. We are a family of five with three teens/tweens. Any suggestions? Is it feasible to take back roads in Switzerland to avoid having to buy the vignette for just the one day? Thanks!

At www.viamichelin.com, I would look for their "Discovery" route recommendation. You can also check the box that says "Avoid vignettes (Switzerland)."
