Well, call me old fashioned, but I don't see the point. I know some 'naturists' who enjoy going to camps and beaches where they are free to be 'free', so to speak. But they don't go nude in their normal every day life among the rest of us clothed mortals, and don't really have a desire to visit public venues without clothes. I guess I don't see why they want to do this unless they just want to compare themselves (and others) to the art on display. But, I'm really pretty broad minded (as well as old fashioned) and as long as I'm not forced to share the space with them, then 'to each their own'.

Oh, joy... oh bliss. An opportunity to see lots of overweight, or underweight, or wrinkly or hairy or spotty people without clothes. I, for one, can hardly wait.

It sounds like the idea is to undress after you are inside, past security.

I just found it amusing that anyone would do this. FWIW, my husband the doctor says most people look better with their clothes on.

The Palais Tokyo is the contemporary art venue, so it's probably some kind of conceptual project.

A friend of mine in Chicago worked part-time for a bowling alley for awhile - they had a nudist bowling league they hosted regularly. Now that's something I really don't want to imagine.

I bet if it weren't obligatory for museum visitors to go à poil this day, you'd have a lot more people there to not look at the art.

I'd go, but can't figure out how to wear my money belt.

They chose May 5th for the nudist day? SERIOUSLY?? Does anyone else see the HUMOR OF THIS? Talk about hilarious! The nudist response to General Ignacio Zaragoza!

Brilliantly fun.

Instead of Montezuma's revenge it's Napoleon III's revenge. ;-)

Will all the art be clothed for the special day? Instead of dressed people looking at nudes, nudes will be looking at dressed people.

Do you think people and museums in other parts of the world could also take part, in a sign of solidarity for the cause? I'll bet this could go viral, no?

I just might truly pack light for the first time ever. Lola, I’m not a doctor but I’ve been to the beach on St Maarten. Your husband is right.

What's recommended as "deep storage" for one's money belt in this instance?

Hilarious responses, All. :)
I expect it will be easier to get up closer to various popular works of art that day, as no one will be interested in the exhibits on walls and plinths.
No answer to the "deep storage" question........ well, I do, but you don't want to see it in print.....
