Greetings from Angers, where it is going to be approximately 34 C today—I seem to have packed Virginia’s weather along in my bag!
I am hoping to go to Fontevraud either tomorrow (from Angers) or Saturday (from Le Mans). I don’t have a car ,so I’ll have to take a taxi from the train station (or bus station, depending on times). Does anybody have a rough idea of what I can expect to pay for the taxi? Also, I know the town of Fontevraud has some hotels, etc., so I assume I’ll be able to find/call/ask somebody to call a taxi back to Saumur? I want to take my time at the Abbey and, if there’s time, poke around the town (but the Abbey is my priority), but I won’t be needing the taxi super early or late in the evening. I’d probably want to take an 8 pm—ish train back from Saumur.
