Sarlat to Fontaine-Henry, Normany

Hello, in June we will be driving from Sarlat to Fontaine-Henry in Normandy and are looking for recommendations on a good half way stopping point for lunch, stretch our legs, break up the long drive, and possibly see a site. We will only have 2-3 hours at most for stopping, we are expected to check in our B&B by 8:00 pm. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Rick Steve's book suggests the Loire Valley region, any places specifically that are easy to get in and out of?

Thank you,
Happy travels,
Ann

You can visit one of the châteaux near Tours like Chenonceaux or Amboise. It is a detour from the A10 freeway, but it is easy to park the car (free) in Chenonceaux, so won't loose much time with that and after the visit drive back to the A10 along Amboise just for the nice view.

The historic centre of Le Mans is very nice and worth a stop too and as well as the race car museum near the race track.
