sanitaire pass

I applied but maybe too late to receive. I heard I can get one at the De Gaulle airport...having a hard time verifying this. Can someone tell me if this is true??

Are you from the US? Most travellers report success using the CDC card in restaurants, at least in touristy/international areas (Lyon is such a place).
And the CDC card reportedly works on trains, too.

If you have such a card, no need to worry about testing on arrival at CDG airport, which you would need to book.

If you have trouble, then the only way to get the pass sanitaire is to get tested every third day. Most pharmacies do this, and if you'd rather book, "doctolib" is an easy-to-use website / app to do so.

Have CDC card, and will have PCR test within 72 hours of arriving…at this point, I feel I have done what I can and hope for the best. I did read someplace where folks have been on trains without the pass…we shall see!

I just heard that pharmacies are no longer able to convert cdc cards into permanent QR code’s. Any scoop on this? And that as of the 12th cdc cards will no longer be accepted? Getting nervous here without my QR code yet. Filed on September 3.

@nancygore....do you remember where you saw that?

The scoop is that it's a rumor. On the 12th, unvaccinated people from the US won't be able to travel to France for tourism. That's the only change happening on the 12th.
Funny how a rumor like this started up just as the ban on un-vaccinated tourists from the US is going into effect.
Panic, cancelled trips by the vaccinated, effect on the economy? Coincidence?

Oh Bets....good assessment on what is really happening on the 12th.

Bets: Panic, cancelled trips by the vaccinated, effect on the economy? Coincidence?

I have to admit, I am considering canceling or postponing our trip, even though we are fully vaccinated. I worry about the possibility of one of the three of us testing positive when it's time to travel back to the USA. I don't have Plan B, and we don't speak French beyond the usual travel phrases.
