Coming from port of Cannes and thought of taking a boat ride to San Tropez for the day. Didn't think there would be much to see in Cannes. Has anyone done this and with which boat company and how much was it roundtrip? Mid October 2024
Given that Cannes is a tender port, your actual time available in port will be truncated. Be very mindful of the return time of the ferry. It may get back too late in the afternoon. The ferry may not run every day in October, and there's no guarantee that the weather would be conducive to such a trip.
I would not risk it. If you want to take a ferry and enjoy the Mediterranean you could go to the Iles de Lérins.
You can also take the train that runs between the two. They run at least hourly both ways. I stayed in Antibes and used the train to travel up and down the coast from Cannes to the Italian border. I didn't go to St. Tropez because it was just a little too far/too time consuming.
There are no trains to St.-Tropez. St.-Tropez doesn't have a train station.
