I am headed to paris at the end of November and I heard that there will be an independent winemakers tasting in paris (salon des vins des vignerons) at that time. I heard the tickets are less than 10euros but I dont know how to acquire them. The website for the event is all in french. Does anyone know if I can just purchase tickets at the event?

I read the whole website and never saw a charge. It's not really a wine tasting but a giant wine sale with independent producers from all over France. There will be tastings daily, introduction to the wines and how to taste (yes, even the French need to learn how) which you need to sign up for. These are at 11, 1, 3, 5, 7 daily. One evening there is a tasting with a buffet meal that starts at 9 PM. That one costs money. The only other mentions of costs were the price for renting a grocery cart(3 euros) and the various costs for shipping cases of wine to different areas of France. So, entry appears to be free and you may be able to get a few tastes and buy a few bottles.

If wine is your interest, hop on the TGV to Dijon and then visit Beaune. Patriarche wine cellars very interesting tour and tastings (3 whites, 10 reds).
