Salle du Jeu de Paume at Versailles-The Tennis Court

It appears to be open but only on very specific dates. Has anyone visited? Since the restoration, have the dates opened up at all, for instance matching the days that the palace is open? If so, is it part of the general ticket for the Versailles Palace? And finally, if it is not open to visitors when we are in Versailles, can you just walk by it and look inside from the windows, street side? I’d really like to see it, but I am confused about its general accessibility for tourists. Thanks.

As far as I can translate it you need an entrance ticket of the palace and on top of that a ticket for a guided tour. The palace ticket must be valid on the same day as the tour. It seems just a few days each month the tours are held in La Salle du Jeu de Paume and as far as I can see it's closed for the rest of the time. You can book just a few months ahead, so doesn't make planning easy.
