Sainte Chapelle Concerts in February?

Hello, all. My wife and I are celebrating our 25th in Paris (first time) in February. We really want to attend a concert at St Chapelle, but don't see them listed in February on the website. Does anyone know if they take place year round?

Thanks so much!

I've only been to Paris in months from April to October, but there've been concerts. It's quite possible that they just don't list them until tickets are for sale, and they only go on sale a couple of months in advance. Wait a while and see if there are concerts in November. If there are, chances are pretty good they are year-round. For something really special, I'd look at the opera season. I went to one at the Opera Bastille which is fine if you want to see a performance in a modern venue, but for an 'experience" go to the Opera Garnier. There are also recitals, concerts and ballets performed there.

Concerts are year 'round at Sainte-Chapelle. You will have to wait until the concertmaster posts the dates. Keep checking www.billetsreduc for discounts, or the official Sainte-Chapelle website.

One thing to keep in mind when attending evening concerts is jet lag. I'm a big fan of classical music and theater, but I've found I have trouble staying awake when sitting still in the audience at an evening event in Europe, even after I've had a few days to adjust my internal clock. A few cups of coffee beforehand would probably help -- next time I plan to try that!

Oh, and congratulations on your upcoming 25th anniversary!

Ha! Thanks for the tip! My worry is that the concerts are usually 7 and 9 pm, but sunset is at 6 in February. We may need to go to the church earlier so we don't miss thise amazing windows!

If you by chance have a sunny day, go at 1PM. The chapel closes for lunch, so you'll be first in line.
Doesn't matter where you sit for the concert, it's a small venue.

The chapel is well-lit during the concert so you'll be able to see the stained glass quite well. Go to the early performance and get there early, you'll have time to walk around and take photos before the concert begins. Binoculars are useful. Pick seats in the middle or rear to have more of the chapel to look at during the concert.

Thanks so much for the wonderful, specific advice! I will do exactly that! I can't wait for February!
