Can anyone tell me why you can't make a reservation for Sainte-Chapelle on Sunday, December 5? I thought at first because it was a Sunday, but you can get tickets for other Sundays in the month, just not the 5th. ??
Google Holy Days in December.
Were you able to secure tickets for multiple people? I’m thinking it’s bc of a timed entry, but spacing out a whole family seems not to make sense (I’m also trying to get tickets but for the end of December). Ty!
Hmm. This does seem odd, as the chapel is open almost every day of the year with few exceptions. Dec. 5 seems blocked out no matter how many tickets you are buying. And I doubt it's sold out, since earlier days are not ... maybe someone will jump on to explain! Anyway, I do hope you can make something work, because it is GLORIOUS.
I have already changed my day to go there to the 7th. I know there will be extra security because it’s a weekday, but that’s what works out! I did see that the 6th is Saint Nicholas Day, but I’m not familiar with that. I was just curious why you can’t make a reservation that day.
Because it's one of the national monuments that's free on first Sundays of the month from 1 January to 31 March and from 1 November to 31 December?
If so, it's probably wise to choose a different day to visit. :O)
Thanks kerouac2 for that information. Interesting to note.
