Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station transfer RER B to C

My daughter and I will be coming in from the airport with luggage and need to transfer from the RER B train to the C train South towards Bibliothèque François Mitterrand station. Are there any steps between these two trains at the Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station, or are there escalators or elevators we need to know about?

And while we are on that subject, are there steps to the street at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand?

Instead of the RER C, use the No 14 Metro line. This is the newest Metro line and was constructed very deep to avoid the usual interference with sewer, water, telephone, and power lines. Therefore, all the stations have elevators and escalators. You can make the change at Les Halles, walk the underground tunnel to Chatelet and board the No 14 line there to Bibliotheque/Francois Mitterand. No steps (that I am aware of).
