We will be in the Saint Emion area of France in early September for three days. Our B&B is between Saint Emilion and Bergerac. Any suggestions or "must sees"? We are wine lovers so will want to hit some chateaus but understand advance reservations are required. Any ones better than others? We also want to spend time in Saint Emilion itself and understand the church is not to be missed.
My husband is interested in visiting Cognac but as it appears to be a 2 hour drive I wonder if our time would be better spent sticking closer.
We got such great suggestions on this forum when planning the Normandy portion of our trip. We are now hoping for the same as we travel south.
