Hi All,
I've read that the beach may not be safest area after dark in Nice. We are staying 15 minutes (walk) west of Old Town along the Promenade des Anglais - directly across the street from the promenade and beach. Would this be an area of concern at night?

There are no issues along that route at night, other than some random or obnoxious drunk people. You can also walk down the Rue Massena/Rue de France, where it is lined with restaurants for the most part and well lit, with people up through midnight but fewer drunk young people.
