https://www.restaurant-le122.fr/en/ -- very modern and not inexpensive but very, very good.
Thanks so much for the suggestion, but it looks like it's closed Sundays :(
Le Roussillon is very good. 186 rue de Grenelle, at the corner of rue Cler.
Open all day, every day. Really good food and the best cheesecake i’ve ever had.
Just after Invalides, bear left on to ave. de la Motte Piquet. It can easily be on your way back to your hotel. On your right at #16 is the Auberge de Bressane which is excellent. I've enjoyed several Sunday dinners here.
I second Susan's suggestion of Le Roussillon. You can also walk down Rue Cler from that intersection with Rue de Grenelle and see what looks interesting. I like Le Petit Cler.
You can also do a slight diversion and go down Rue de Varenne. I think there is a restaurant along here one of the folks who lives in Paris recommends. (Might be Cafe de Varenne but it looks like it's closed Sundays) I usually stop at Le Pain Quotidien because I can easily get a vegan meal there but it's a chain. I rarely see/hear other Americans in there though, lol.
The Rue Cler/Rue de Grenelle area is close enough to Londres Eiffel you can head over this direction for dinner as well. If you are in the mood for Italian, I really enjoy Di Felice on Rue de Grenelle but can't find their hours online so they may not be open for Sunday lunch.
We have dinner at Auberge Bressane and it was good and the souffles were really nice
Thanks so much for the replies so far! Would also appreciate ideas for lunch spots nearer to Église Saint-Sulpice, as we will need refueling after Sunday service for the walk back to the hotel :)

Georgette and Bread & Roses are both near Saint Sulpice, close to Jardins du Luxembourg.
If you’re looking in the Saint-Sulpice area, and if it’s a pretty day, I’ve enjoyed lunch at the outdoor cafe in Luxembourg Gardens called La Terrasse de Madame.
Thank you very much for the suggestions!
