Rick’s new video, Paris of the Parisians is very good. The video does not use scenes from his prior videos so everything you see has been recently filmed. I just wished he hadn’t done the shopping for a dinner party on Rue Cler. While that was recently filmed, it was basically the same script. It is great for those who had not viewed his prior videos on Paris so I understand why he added it to this video, but it is a little repetitive for those of us who had watched his prior videos on Rue Cler.

I suppose he has to redo them since they get dated rather quickly. I am a French teacher and I use Rick's France episodes often and it really is helpful when they are modernized to show Paris today.
I agree about the overrated Rue Cler, but since it is Rue Rick Steves I am just glad he is keeping his fans there and not spreading somewhere else. To me the Rue de Commerce (15e) is far more charming. Also, the jazz club just doesn't seem necessary to me nor does the deux chevaux car rides but to each their own.
