Hi, I am thinking about taking this tour. I'm confused tho if anyone can clarify. I've done several searches with different responses about the Bullet train to Reimes? Does it or does it not have a "direct" bullet train at the CDG airport in Paris that goes directly to Reimes? I"ve seen answers that say yes and some no. Some say there's a train at airport you have to take to Paris first and transfer, and others are saying they got a direct bullet train at CDG to Reimes after their flight? Thanks, Cindy
The TGV station in Reims (pronounced similar to rance) is southwest of downtown Reims. You would have to take a regional train or taxi from there to get into central Reims.
And yes, there are direct trains from the CDG station to the Champagne-Ardennes TGV station outside of Reims.
Lastly, they're not called bullet trains. They're TGV trains (train à grande vitesse; that is, high speed trains) in France
Hello colson804,
I'm taking this tour. I purchased the train ticket roughly 60 days in advance when SNCF released the train schedule. An RS tour member said to buy early to ensure a seat and perhaps a good price.
Go to SNCFConnect website to purchase the train ticket for Paris-Reims.
From Paris, Gare de l'Est --> Reims(FR) . This is the information on my ticket.
I will spend a few days pre-tour in Paris, therefore I depart from Paris Gare de l'Est. If you go to Reims directly from the airport, you need to google the information.
At time of my ticket purchase, 10:28am train departure was the only nonstop 45 minutes ride to Reims until the next one in the afternoon. This is the TGV highspeed train. I used to call it a bullet train as well.
The Reims train station where you get off for the tour is within 7 minutes walking distance from the tour hotel (from google map). If you need further information, you can always contact RS tour office.
*You can google SNCF to find out what it is. Nowadays I used chatgpt.com (or the app on the phone) to research.
