Route from Bayeux to 1st arrondissement

Hello!

My husband and I are planning our trip to France in June. We are staying in Normandy for 3 days and returning to Paris on July 1, heading to our Airbnb in the 1st arrondissement. Can anyone recommend the best train/metro route for this leg of our trip? Do we get off the train at Gare St. Lazare? Then what? For reference, our Airbnb is on Rue Etienne Marcel, near the Louvre. Any suggestions are most appreciated!

From Gare Saint-Lazare, it is a 10-minute metro ride (#3), or a 12-minute bus ride (#20). I prefer the bus because I can actually see the city and there are no stairs, escalators, urine smell, etc. The bus will also drive right by the Palais Garnier (Paris opera house). Either way will drop you off about a 6–8 minute walk to Rue Etienne Marcel.

Thank you so much! I am putting all this information in my itinerary. Is Rue Etienne Marcel a desirable area? Our apartment looks beautiful, and it appears to be conveniently located, so I am hopeful. Later on we will be staying in La Marais at 9Confidential. Are you familiar?
