Rouen to Paris via train and next day to Charles De Gaulle

Maybe these should be separate topics.

How to stop at Vernon to see the Monet gardens when traveling by train with carry on luggage. No luggage storage at the train station. No luggage allowed at the gardens. Suggestions?

Coming into Paris Gare Saint-Lazare via train and spending one night; on to Charles de Gaulle for an afternoon flight the next day. Suggestions for a place to stay?
How crazy would it be to stay in Vernon; visit the gardens early and take the train/bus to the airport the day of travel?

Thank you.

Hello Mattiedog,

Opposite the Vernon-Giverny train station, there is a bar called "L' Arrivée de Giverny." If you contact them and pay a few euros, you might be able to leave your luggage there while you visit Monet's house.

Alternatively, I just checked the Nannybag.com website, which indicates there are two places where you can leave your carry-on luggage.

Regarding your last night in France, I recommend staying in Paris. You'll be less stressed going to the airport.
As for a hotel in Paris, it depends on your budget. Perhaps the Hotel Ouest could be a good option: http://www.ouest-hotel-paris.com/
I advise you to stay near the Saint-Lazare train station so you can take the metro (Line 14) if you decide to use public transport to get to the airport.

I agree with staying in Paris since your flight departs in the afternoon.

Suggestions for where to stay would depend on how you plan to get to the airport from the city, public transportation (RER B) or taxi, as well as your budget.

I would not risk staying in Vernon the night before your flight. There is always the possibility of delays due to strikes, weather or other reasons on the rail line.
