Has anyone seen the Rouen Cathedral light show and then travelled back to Paris?
Apparently the light show starts at 9.30pm in September, lasting about 30 minutes.
According to the SNCF website the last train for Paris is scheduled to leave before 9pm.
I would appreciate any comments and especially suggestions.
You could rent a car for the trip or stay the night in Rouen. I can't see any train or bus that late.
It is similar to when we lived on Cape Cod - the Illuminations did not start until AFTER the last ferry left. You either had to have your own boat or stay the night on the island. :(
I checked bahn.de and indeed the last train back is at 8:59pm. I also looked at bus to Paris and the last one leaves even earlier, about 6:30pm. So, unless you have a car I don't think it's going to be possible - unless someone else has another idea.
There are no public transportation options that late. Period.
Thanks folks. That's what I feared. Glad I researched this before going there!
Bon voyage!
