My wife and I will be staying Rouen and want to visit Monet's Garden near Giverny as a day trip.
We travel by train and will not have a car.
Can anyone tell us how to visit his garden and get back to Rouen the same day.

Take a train from Rouen to Vernon and take the shuttle bus that meets every train to the gardens. I know they meet every train from Paris -- if they don't meet trains from Rouen, you might have to walk or take a cab.

Expect large crowds at Giverny during high season.
It's essentially the same as a day trip from Paris, same train tracks. Plan on arriving early to beat the main crowds.
