Rouen To Charles-de-Gaulle Airport By Bus?

If planning to travel from Rouen to CDG for an international flight, do reconsider.

It’s generally recommended spending the night before departure in your departure city, Paris in your case, or at a hotel in CDG.
The main reason is to avoid possibly missing your international flight due to unforeseen transportation delays.

Flixbus is only slightly slower than the train/RER , and as you noted, is direct. The trip is about 2 1/2 hrs long, and you would want to arrive at CDG 3 hours before your flight. The big question is: what time is your flight? If your bus is cancelled or delayed leaving, will you have any other way to get to the airport in time? To be on the safe side, would you consider returning to Paris Saturday evening?

My nephew lived in Barcelona for a year in 2019. Some of his best "funny now but super annoying when it happened" stories are about Flixbus cancellations or delays. I suggest taking the train the day before if your flight leaves before 5 PM unless you are totally chill with buying a last minute ticket to wherever you are flying to from CDG..

Flixbus subcontracts in the different countries where it operates. Some better or worse than others. We've taken it in France with no problem of delay or cancelation. However, as said above, you should take it, or the train, the day before a transatlantic flight and spend the night at the airport.

If your flight leaves before 1PM and lands outside the Schengen zone, traveling from Rouen to CDG on the day of the flight is a high stakes gamble.
