Rouen restaurant recommendations?

If you were in Rouen this year and had a good dining experience, I am looking for recommendations.

Most of the haute francais places listed on google are in the modernist style of all presentation but not much substance -- I'd like to chow down, but also well. Just like you have to have gelato at least once a day in Italy, I think the same about foie gras in France!

We had a reservation for the famous, La Couronne in April on the day we planned to arrive in Rouen. I had made the reservation well in advance. However, we arrived later than planned into the city and unfortunately missed our reservation. There was no other availability for the long weekend that we were there. Maybe you'll have better luck!

La Couronne is fantastic. It's a great experience and delicious.

I also had an unforgettable tasting menu at le 6ème Sens. It's as you describe, minimalist, but it was a holy experience for me. Not sure if La Pucelle had anything to do with it!

Thanks for the mention of le 6ème Sens!

I like the 6 course menu so much that it will be a tough decision between it and the chef's 7 course selection of the moment.

Oops, I added a sense to their name! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Je me suis régalé.
