We were disappointed in our dinner at Restaurant Couronne. The food was average, definitely not great. We were concluding a eight day trip in France with what we anticipated was going to be a highlight meal and were disappointed. The service was underwhelming. We waited longer than "French normal" for water, our wine, and our food. One waiter was pushing unsuspecting guests to an overpriced flambe Calvados experience.
They have many photos of important people who have dined there in the past, but my advice is skip the place. Restaurant Couronne needs a reevaluation by several "secret shoppers" from the Rick Steves team before including it in the next guide.
