Rome to Paris--best wayAny suggestions and insight would be welcome.

I'm traveling from Rome to Paris in early May. I'm wondering if any of you have had experience doing this trip and what you'd recommend.
Any suggestions and insight would be welcome.
Thanks

If you’re looking for the best way to get from Rome to Paris, fly. Preferably arriving at Orly airport as it’s closer to the center of Paris. Take a taxi to your hotel.

Or are you looking for itineraries with multiple stops along the way? If so, how many days do you have? What are your interests? Who’s in your group (kids, older adults with mobility issues)? How are you traveling (train, rental car)?

Thanks for your answer. No, I'm not looking for itineraries nor any stops along the way. I'm looking to get there as quickly and as easily as possible.

I have done this trip. I flew on Air France. The flight left from CDG. I took the flight that worked best with when I wanted to depart and that left from CDG. There are flights from Orly and some people prefer leaving from there. I don’t have a preference between the two airports. I have also taken the train which was awful.

EasyJet, Vueling and Wizz Air are all budget airlines and they have nonstop flights from Rome into Paris Orly. I would think they'd be 90 minute flights approximately. And they will be very inexpensive.

Orly is a smaller airport and a bit easier to manage, although a bit more of a pain to get to on public transportation. However, the fixed-rate taxis are cheaper between Paris and Orly than they are Paris and CDG.

I would always choose Orly if given the chance.

I have done the train, too, but it really requires an overnight on the way in Turin or Milan.

I travel ORY to FCO from time to time. I avoid CDG anytime I can, and usually book Transavia out of ORY, which is closer to Paris and much easier.

Thanks to all for good advice. You helped me decide that it would be best to fly. I've looked at all the budget airlines and it seems all of them are kind of difficult to travel. This might be a good example of "you get what you pay for. "
