Is there s prefer way to cruise the Rhone...with the river current Lyon to Avignon or Avignon to Lyon? Also thinking of Viking as cruise line any thoughts??

I don't think the direction of the river current makes any difference. We did the Lyon to Avignon a couple of year in Sep. A very pleasant and relaxing trip.

We did it on AMA Waterways and from Lyon to Arles. It was great.
I don't think it makes much difference, but I was glad it was north to south. Here is my lengthy review of our cruise.
