I saw an old post from 2016 on this topic but am wondering if anyone has updated or more recent information or experience. We are returning a Europcar rental in Lyon (we picked up in Caen) and did a Google street search for the Lyon return address/building and surroundings. It appears tricky to find the exact location and signage, as the old post and newer info appear to be 2 different addresses. If anyone has info to share, thank you in advance!

Usually the rental documents have the address for return. We are returning our Europcar to the train station in Lyon. Our hotel is nearby; we have gps to aid in getting there but there is typically good signage on the roads to assist if needed. That’s my expectation anyway!

Our experience picking up a car in Lyon was OK, getting out of the city was not our best moment. We ran into some unscheduled and unmarked closed roads/streets.
Returning a car to this city...do a bunch of Google Maps approaches. You want as straight a shot to your destination as possible. Take a taxi or walk from your drop off point for the car. If it is at or near the train station, major roads get you very close, within few blocks.
Lyon is the food capital of France. Don't forget that. Splurge at least once.
Don't fret, but proper planning prevents PPP.

Thank you both for your comments! We will do our best and will Google the address/site as much as we can. Wayner, we loved your last statement - my husband got the "PPP" as he was in the fire service. And thank you for your service! :-)
