In searching hotels to stay in the night before a flight out of Bordeaux, I wonder if anyone knows about how to get to the airport. We will be returning a rental car the night before to save the hassle of doing so early on the morning of our flight. Do any hotels offer a shuttle to the airport, as they do near CDG? I haven't found that info on various websites. (Perhaps I am not looking correctly.) Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Why not just take the regular bus to the airport?
Booking.com has a filter along the left hand column under Facilities that allows you to select “airport shuttle”. Safe travels.
We are flying out of Bordeaux in early June on a 6:40 am flight and returning a rental the evening before. We are staying at the Sheraton that is across the street from the terminal. Rate was reasonable.
We flew into Bordeaux last September and had a reservation at a hotel close to the airport for that night, maybe a kilometer or so away. Our flight was supposed arrive at 7:00 p.m. but was delayed and didn’t arrive until 10:00 p.m. Obviously it was too late to pick up our rental car and we had to take a taxi to the hotel. It cost us €25. To take a taxi back to the airport the next day to get our car was a few € more than the night before. I would look for a hotel with a shuttle or close enough to walk.
If you stay in town near the train station "Saint Jean" where you may also be able to return the car, you can take the airport shuttle:
Thank you. There will be three adults and two children, and the flight out leaves at about 10 a.m. on a Sunday, necessitating an early arrival at the airport. A hotel with an airport shuttle sounds like the best idea, and the I will look into the Sheraton. Merci beaucoup for your helpful suggestions!
