In May, we will fly home from Charles de Gaulle airport. We will be approaching Paris from the southwest the day before our noon flight. We have driven in Paris before and we don’t need to do it again! Which would be better to return our rental car in Tours or Orleans and take a train from there to the airport?

I would look into returning the car at Massy TGV, where the RER is a straight shot to CDG. There are several car rental companies there.
