We will be taking a cruise from Paris to Normandy. What is the best way to return from Normandy back to the USA?
Where in Normandy will you be dropped off by your cruise ship?
The easiest is probably to get to the nearest train station and take a train back to Paris.
I recommend spending the night before your flight in Paris so I hope you can add a day (or more) in at the end.
I assume your cruise company has figured out most of the options (hint, there
aren't that many) and can inform you about what they are.
Apart from maybe going to Lille and taking the train to London, you need to get
to an airport. So, Paris. Or an outside option of Brussels.
A river cruise from Paris to Le Havre perhaps? Take the train to Paris or do a one way car rental to CDG Airport.
Normandie is pretty large. In what town will your cruise be ending?
hey hey drwoodsky
as others have asked where does your ship disembark in normandy, and the earliest you can get off cruise ship? how many others are getting off ship and want to do the same as you to get to an airport?
are you flying back to USA and what day & time is flight back? give herself a couple days back to paris, get hotel and taxi to airport for flight. don't be rushing and getting stressed out being in a hurry. good luck
aloha
Thanks for everyone's reply! I appreciate the answers. I thought we would most likely be required to get back to Paris in order to fly home; I just wanted to make sure there were no other good options.
There could be other good options if you mentioned where your cruise was leaving you.

Exactly, plus, it then depends on how much time you have, and how adventurous you want to be.
With a few days after the cruise ends, (or less) you can get back to Paris and flyout. You could also find a ferry to the UK, for example, to Portsmouth, experience that city, then on to London or directly to Heathrow.
You could head into Belgium, or even the Netherlands (Though that would likely take you through Paris) flying out of Brussels or Amsterdam.
