Restuarants in Beaune

I will be in Beaune in the spring for a weekend and would love to know of any resturant suggestions you can offer. I would like to know so that before we get to Beaune I can make some reservations for dinner as we will be there on a Saturday night. I know Beaune is a lovely town with lots of resturants but don't want to be caught short not have a place to eat on a busy weekend.

Thanks for all your help.

We ate at Le Carnot several times and liked it. Right in the center on a pedestrian street, good food, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices. Not a high-end gourmet place though.

Bonjour Ann,
If you are interested in trying some of the local heavyweight 'A' list wines, Bistro Bourguignon remains one of the better choices. They have a good menu and somewhat relaxed vibe. For us, its their status as a sort of wine bar that really attracts. One can buy fantastic wines by the glass: Meursault (white), Pommard, Gevrey-Chambertin for example. Not cheap of course, but less expensive than buying bottles of the same. Bonne chance.
I am done. The end.

We were in France for three weeks, and two of our favorite meals were in Beaune. Highly recommend 21 Boulevard and Les Popiette., though they are both popular so get a reservation for anything on Saturday night!
