Restaurants in the 8th arrondissement?

We're looking for restaurants in the 8th arrondissement - brasseries, casual bistros, etc. for lunch. This will be for the day we arrive in Paris and will be tired and want something easy, but not fast food or take out. Somewhere we can sit and relax with some ambience. Thanks!

Have you used Google and put in the address in the address where you are staying to see what restaurants are nearby? OR Asked the property owner or hotel staff ( via email )?

I did. But, there are so many options, and I like getting first-hand recommendations from people. :)

Where in the 8th? Restaurants in other arrondissements may be closer. Arrondissements are handy for local government, but often cut districts in two.

I don’t think that the 8th is that big. If the Champs Elysées and the Triangle d´or are eliminated, because people typically refer to these areas specifically, the only area of the 8th with a good amount of restaurants is the area around Gare St Lazare, which is where those I mentioned are located. I could be assuming too much, but overall, it is an art to formulate a good question, one that will receive responses commensurate with one’s intentions.

We recently ate lunch at Chez Savy, an unexpected neighborhood spot in a high-end area. The food is old-fashion comfort favorites, décoré is art deco unchanged for decades. One of the French waiters grew up in New Jersey so speaks Jersey English You should reserve.
23 rue Bayard 70008 Paris.
