My daughter is meeting me in Paris in late March to celebrate my 70th birthday. We will be staying in Montmartre. I would appreciate restaurant recommendations in Montmartre. We are not big eaters, more lunch types than dinner. Not big on fancy, formal places. Some places authentic and fun.
Montmartre is in the 18th Arrondissement. It is also contiguous to the 9th and 10th. Using the websites below, browse among the choices under postal codes 75018, 75009, and 75010 to find restaurants that appeal.
The websites listed are pretty intuitive. Good luck.
Walk down from Montmartre to the 9th arrondissement, rue des Martyrs. There are restaurants for every taste there.
Hi Kateja, happy birthday! We had a late lunch at La Maison Rose last year that we enjoyed very much.

For Italian food in Montmartre, I highly recommend Al Caratello, and for French: Chez Toinette, and for breakfast: Cocquelicot. If you like Chicken, try Le Coq Rico on Rue Lepic.
http://www.davidliebovitz.com/ took me first to a car dealership in Edmonds WA, and the second time I tried it, it tried to install some sort of safe-lock system. Hmmm
My apologies. The correct url is https://www.davidlebovitz.com
Thanks. Nice site. Lots of restaurant recommendations.
Le Grand 8 (Huit) is just below Sacre Coeur away from the touristy side of Montemarte. It’s a small, local place with a limited menu of seasonal cuisine. The service was very good, and this remains the best meal I ever had in Paris. It’s been a few years, but they were written up in Saveur magazine. I think that’s how I found them.
