anyone have a recommendation for places to eat in these 2 areas.
Just my opinion but after we rented in Meursault several years ago, we concluded that its restaurants were just meh and def overpriced. As for Puligny its no contest. One of the region's most interesting experiences is to do a (cold lunch) wine-tasting at Puligny's famed LeFlaive. The experience gives fans of dry white wine the chance to taste several different samples, including what turned out to be both of our faves: Meursault! Outstanding quality, world-class. Those wines I mean.
I'll never forget our disappointment after eating a Bresse chicken in one particular Meursault restaurant: what was all the fuss about? We were borderline insulted when the hefty bill arrived at out table then.
One traveler's humble opinion.
I am done. The end.
Thanks we are booked for the lunch place you recommended thanks
We stayed 6 nights in Meursault in 2021. We found initimate 11-seat L’Épisode to be a fun and wonderful gastronomic experience. Reservations recommended or required. Mentioned in our trip report (part 6): https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/trip-reports/trip-report-france-28-days-aug-sep-loire-dordogne-languedoc-roussillon-lyon-burgundy-honfleur
Thanks for the recommendation for L'Episode i left them a message for a dinner reservation.
