We just left Bayeux and there are number of options that can work well for you. If you are going at a busy time of year, I would highly recommend making reservations, even if it is the day of. There are some restaurants like La Rapiere that I tried to book 2 weeks in advance and they were full. Others like the recommend L’Alcove will only take reservations by phone. I tried to book via email and they let me know that due to so many no shows, they only book by phone. Unfortunately, when I called, they were fully booked. Even the casual places filled up.
- For breakfast or lunch, try Selma Alabama. They have indoor seating options and a wide variety of vegetarian options, even some vegan.
- La Moulin de la Gallete is a creperie near the Bayeux Tapestry. We ate out on the Terrace and there was no smoking when we went. They have an inside. Reservations are a must, book at least a day in advance or the morning of online. Large number of vegetarian options.
