We love La Freti ..... 12 rue Sainte Claire | Annecy Vieille Ville, 74000, Annecy, France

We always go there when we've been to Annecy. Wonderful Raclette, Tartiflette, Savoyard dishes.

Yvette,

My daughter and I enjoyed the following places in Annecy:

  • Le Sapaudia- delicious pizzeria

  • Crêperie Ti Mad - very tasty crepes/ savory and sweet

  • Glacier des Alpes - yummy ice cream!

One evening we had dinner at Le Fretti but we didn’t enjoy our meal. Perhaps we should have ordered the Raclette.
Make sure you make reservations for this place.

Hopefully you’ll be there on market day!

Enjoy your time in beautiful Annecy!

Le Freti was very enjoyable, but you have to really like cheese.

I had excellent pasta at a restaurant in Annecy but I couldn't remember the name of it. After looking at pictures of the other poster's suggestions I now know it was Le Sapaudia. The pizza looked wonderful too.

hey hey yvette
how many days are you planning to stay in annecy? we (2 best friends 60+) were there end of september for 6 days, after spending 2 nights in geneva we took a taxi to annecy, about 30 to 40 minute ride. (100E worth it to us, door to door from geneva hotel to annecy apt.) it's a gorgeous area with mountain views and right on the lake. lots of activities, rent a boat, take a lake cruise, roaming the old town with shops, cafes, restaurants, market day is tuesday friday and sunday, the canals, sitting to people watch and a street performer entertaining the children having fun, private tour to outer villages of lake, saw chateau de menthon which walt disney visited and built snow white's castle from that sight, hang gliders soaring right above you in le col de la forclaz, green pastures with cows grazing wearing their bells (like a concert in the pasture), had to buy one, my mom was a cowgirl raised on a ranch in hawaii.
if you are in annecy saturday oct 10, 2020 there is a parade of animals coming off of the mountains. "retour des alpages" (francetravelplanner.com/go/alpes/annecy) is an article about the festival. music, yodelers, locals in traditional customs, dancers, floats, food, booths, cows adorned with flowers and cowbells. we missed it by a week (frenchmoments.eu/annecy-old-town).
annecycitytour.fr a small van tour of city
al vesuvio 13 rue d L'ile sat outside table, with rose wine, shared a pizza and calzone.
rotisserie du thiou 17 pass eveche we sat outside small restaurant near canal for a fondue lunch, was fixed price and so good. planned to go to la freti but closed for lunch on market days with all the booths selling their goods blocking entrance.
brasserie saint charles 46 rue du parmelan. near where we stayed, sat outside and had their lunch special beef stroganoff, the best we have ever had, so yummy. call ahead to make sure it's available.
le gourmande 1 rue de paix is a candy/cookie/biscuit shop. your kids will probably love it, so many goodies, loved a cookies stuff with different fruit jams, flavored marshmallow stixs, fruit gems, colorful tins/boxes.
ask if there are bike rentals for you and the kids. we had great weather maybe one day of rain.
enjoy your holiday, hope you find good restaurants that are good for your kids too, if they are "picky eaters"
