Restaurants in Amboise?

We had a very special dinner at Chateau de Pray. http://www.chateaudepray.fr/fr/restaurant-gastronomique-amboise.html. The food was wonderful and less expensive than similar in both Paris and the U.S. We were staying at the Chateau which actually was quite reasonable. We also enjoyed a casual restaurant in Amboise. I think it was Creperie Anne de Bretagne. With your back to the Loire and walking towards the Amboise Chateau on the main restaurant street, it would be the first restaurant on the left.

My daughter and I had two very delicious dinners at Chez Bruno located right across from the Amboise Castle. This is a popular place, so reservations are recommended.
The braised lamb shank was my favorite.
Make sure you leave room for a yummy dessert!

There are only two restaurants I recommend in Amboise; l´Epicerie and le Parvis

There are plenty of restaurants in Amboise. There's a group of restaurant/cafes in the small center. I found several I liked in a row below the huge wall of the Chateau on Place Michel Debre.

Agree with the previous recommendations for Chateau de Pray, Chez Bruno's and l'Epicerie. We also had a wonderful meal at Le Patio. Their interpretations of classic desserts are a feast for both the palate and the eye.
