Restaurant with Dog Bar drinking fountain next to front door

Can somebody tell me the name of this restaurant? It is in the general area/direction of the Champs-Elysees, is quite nice, very good food, and has green, yellow, and orange flowery decor inside. I ate there several years ago and cannot remember the name. Thank you!

The Dog's Bar Drinking Fountain is on Rue Saint Augustin in the 2nd arrondissement at Buckingham Bar. That's not especially near the Champs-Elysees, but maybe you can look an the street in Google street view to see if it looks familiar. I don't recall anything other than bar snacks at the Buckingham Bar.

No, that's not it. I've seen it mentioned here before and thought I had bookmarked it but don't have it. Thanks anyway.

I remembered the name of the restaurant - it's La Fermette Marbeuf, at 5, Rue Marbeuf. It's beautiful and when I was there several years ago it was very good.

Kathy, I recommended la Fermette Marbeuf to someone on this forum last week and he looked into it and said it has some bad reviews. See for yourself. I loved it but it was a few years ago when we were there. It really is a beautiful Art Deco interior. I'd go again, bad reviews notwithstanding.

I ate dinner at La Fermette Marbeuf this May, and thought the food was wonderful. I was too late in seeing the thread where Norma had recommended this restaurant just recently, but for my two cents, my meal was of very high quality. Typically I'm hard on restaurants that have reputation, great location, and great decor but mediocre food. Not saying your opinion would match mine, but I'm still remembering the lamb confit and escargot in puff pastry.

All that said, I don't remember any doggie drinking fountain by the door, and I was lingering outside because I arrived before they opened. If that is important to you, you may want to check to make sure it is still there.

I've never seen a dog fountain in any cafe or restaurant, but the waiters always bring a bowl of water for dogs if you ask.

If I'm not mistaken, the restaurant was spruced up and a new chef is in charge. That might account for the good meal you had.
